Campaigns

CAAN’s Main focus at the moment is on generating awareness of the ludicrous nature of the extreme porn law, taking action about the creation of the porn ban in Scotland, and where possible raising awareness of the appalling effect on individual livelihoods that the Vetting Law could have, if enacted literally. We are also getting ready to show conspicuous support for anyone who is arrested for possessing pornographic images of consenting adults. Join our mailing list to keep up to date with CAAN actions and ways you can get involved, by signing our statement  http://www.caan.org.uk/sign.php or send an email to info@caan.org.uk .

Extreme Porn

CAAN's evidence collection is now closed for submissions. Our collection of hundreds of images which we were trying to get advice about has been passed to CAAN people working in Scotland for them to use during the time of consultation on the Scottish extreme porn ban.

There are lots of things we can all do to fight the ban in Scotland, and if we can stop them criminalising images of consenting adults it will help the rest of us in the UK fight its implementation elsewhere. Please see here for things you can do right now from home to fight the kinky porn ban in Scotland. http://www.caan.org.uk/Scotland/

If you are arrested simply for possession of extreme pornography featuring consenting adults, we want to hear from you and see how we can support you. For legal support, please contact Backlash http://www.backlash-uk.org.uk

For advice about extreme porn, see here. http://www.caan.org.uk/issues/advice.html

Vetting Law

We are currently contacting Unions representing workers who might be affected to see whether they are aware of this – and providing advice to individuals who fall foul of this new law. If you are involved in a Union and willing to get involved with this project, please contact us info@caan.org.uk

For more information about the vetting law, see here. http://www.caan.org.uk/issues/
